Our work goes beyond the implementation of impactful projects – together with actors and partners – towards a deeper, more lasting change. We work towards systems transformation, and we make sure to build capacities for a long-lasting impact beyond project finalisation.
1st Solar Hybrid Mini Grid Project Under the World Bank Funded Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) in Niger State:
The project, which is a 64KWp solar hybrid mini grid in Edati Local Government Area, Niger State. The mini grid will benefit 3,000 people and provide 350 end users with clean, safe, affordable and reliable electricity to improve their quality of life and boost economic activities.

Solar Mini-Grids Give Nigeria a Power Boost.
Gbamu Gbamu, a three-hour drive from Lagos.
Gbamu Gbamu mini-grid composed of more than 300 large solar panels on a compact plot of land. A small powerhouse is lined with imported inverters and batteries that can store enough energy for electricity, even during the rainy season. Wires on wooden poles run from the mini-grid to homes. Now, steady solar electricity is available 24 hours a day.

1.2mw Lower Usuma Dam solar plant completed, to feed excess capacity to grid.
Nigeria’s first grid connected solar power generation plant is completed and ready to feed the excess of its 1.2mw peak generation capacity to the national grid.
Sited at the Lower Usuma Dam Water Treatment Plant in Bwari area of Abuja, outstanding works on the solar plant which was financed Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and co- built by ZED.
It will power the water treatment plant which Abuja relies on for all its municipal water supplies, and subsequently feed its excess generation to the local Abuja electricity distribution company for further distribution to its customers.
